1 Representing relationships
Linear Equations:  Is an equation with a graph that is a straight line.

2 Relations
Relation:  is any set of ordered pairs.  Can be represented by a table or graph.
Domain: all of the X coordinates Least to greatest no repeating.
Range: all of the Y coordinates Least to greatest no repeating.

3 Functions
Function:  is a relation in which every member of the domain(input value)  is paired with exactly one member of the range (output value).

4 Linear functions

Linear Function: is a function in which the graph of the solutions forms a straight line.  Ex an equations of the form y=mx+b is a linear function.
Continuous data: can take on any value, so there is no space between data values for the given domain. (x) solid line
Discrete Data: have space between possible data value. Dots
